Divisional Secretariat - Deraniyagala

Women's Day program was held at the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat on the 26th of March 2019 under the theme of "Women of Wisdom - a sweet world".

The keynote address was delivered by Senior Nursing Officer Sepali Athukorala at the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital. It was titled as to create a better family environment through the minimization of marital harmful to the woman, the family and the society.

Chaminda Pradeep Gunasena, Small Business Development Officer of Bulathkohupitiya Divisional Secretariat, also spoke on the occasion under the title of developing the family economy through the development of the attitude of women towards the development of a strong family.

The event was attended by 181 members of the Deraniyagala Regional Women's Federation. The event was decorated with several aesthetic creations.

The mobile service program organized by the Ministry of National Integration, Official Languages, Social Progress and Hindu Religious Affairs and the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat under the auspices of the Deraniyagala division was held on 24th February 2014 at the Sirisaman National School at Deraniyagala.

The 71st Independence Day celebration of the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat was held on 4th February 2019 at the Deraniyagala Sirisaman National School Premises directed by Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat with the association of Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha, the Police Station and other government and non-government organizations, school and residents.

The 70th Independence Ceremony was held at Deraniyagala town under the direction of the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day celebrations commemoration with the participation of other government institutions, private organizations, civil society organizations and people of the area.
