A Job Fair which is conducted under the theme of "A proud job for you youth - prosperous future" was organized by the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat and the Department of Manpower and Employment on 26th March 2021 at the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat premises. Recruitments for local and foreign employment, vocational training and the requirement for Armed Forces were also made at this event and a large number of local and foreign employment agencies and a large number of job seekers participated in this event.

73rd Independence Day Celebrations of Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat were held under the patronage of the Divisional Secretary. In addition to hoisting the national flag and singing the national anthem, there was a lecture on how to win national independence, a tree planting program, a plant distribution program and an office premises cleaning ceremony.

The commencement of the new year 2021 duties of the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat with giving priority to religious observances was carried out in accordance with the health guidelines. Deraniyagala divisional public health inspector also conducted a lecture to educate the staff on the protection against the corona virus menace in addition to the addressing of the Divisional Secretary to the staff. Also a tree planting program proceeded.










Concurrently the poson week, blood donation campaign which was organized by the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat and the Deraniyagala MOH office, held on 16th June 2020 at the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.
